 The Day Brothers

As many of you know, not only do I love chiropractic, but I also have found a creative outlet playing an upright bass, guitar and octave mandolin in bluegrass groups and jams around the Pacific Northwest region. It is interesting to think about the process of tuning an instrument by twisting the tuners on theck of the instrument.  Making a small adjustment to the tuners that affects string tension and tone is very similar to the work on our patients - often a subtle mis-alignment of the neck or back makes my patient be out of tune (in chiropractic, we speak of dis-ease, that state of being with diminished capacity, making you vulnerable to developing into a disease if not addressed).  By adjusting my patients neck or back where they are out of tune, their bodies can once again function at 100 % as the nerve flow restoration allows their body tissues and organs to accurately communicate their status to the brain, then the brain can coordinate the appropriate response.  For example, if you are hungry, your stomach can send the signal to the brain, and the brain can verify blood sugar levels dropping, and then coordinate a search for food.  Speaking of food, here are some pictures from our "Bluegrass in the Pines" party at Day Chiropractic with "Coyote Hill Bluegrass" and "The Day Brothers".

Here is a link to our radio show on KPDQ fm 93.9 - Coyote Hill Bluegrass was our guest and they performed several songs throughout the hour.  This was recorded one day prior to this fun event!
